Woman Arrested for Shoplifting after Allegedly Burning LP Associate

A Paris, Texas, woman has been arrested after police say she burned a store employee who was trying to stop her from shoplifting. Rayla Jeanette McCurry, 43, was arrested and charged with robbery.

Police say McCurry was seen putting items in her purse at the Brookshires. Employees say they restrained her when she attempted to leave without paying. Officers say McCurry burned one of the employees with a cigarette lighter. The employee did not seek medical treatment.McCurry was taken to the Lamar County Jail… KXIL News12
