Vector Security, the leading provider of intelligent security and automation solutions tailored to the needs of its customers, announces Chuck Thropp has joined its leadership team as Chief Financial Officer.
Based in the company’s corporate services office in Warrendale, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, Thropp is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial activities, including controllership, tax, treasury, risk management, and Vector Security’s financial strategy to help grow its business operations and enhance shareholder value.
Thropp has more than 25 years of financial leadership expertise. He comes to Vector Security from Unify, Inc., one of the world’s leading communications software and services firms, where he was Senior Vice President and CFO, North America. During his tenure at Unify, he led a team of finance professionals through a major transformation initiative; also developing and executing the commercial turn-around strategy for the region.
Prior to that, Thropp was CFO of the Americas for Westcon Group, Inc., where during his tenure, he was responsible for all aspects of the America’s regional financial activities, and financial strategy, including treasury, accounting, planning, forecasting, credit and collections, as well as the finance and accounting for the corporate IT, legal and human resources departments.

Thropp has also held senior finance-related positions with Thermo Fisher Scientific and PricewaterhouseCoopers. A certified public accountant, Thropp holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
