Suspected Shoplifter Attempts to Leap from Moving Police Cruiser

An Ohio woman arrested after an alleged shoplifting incident tried to jump out of the jail-bound patrol cruiser traveling over 50 mph, Stark County Jail records show. Tiffany A. Perry, 31, listed in jail records as homeless, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Monday at Marc’s, 3014 Cromer Ave. NW.

According to jail records, she tried to leave the store without paying for merchandise. When officers sought to identify her, she gave them a false name “to prevent them from finding out she had warrants,” the jail records show.
