A security officer in Hollywood, California, shot and killed a suspected shoplifter at a Walgreens drug store Sunday night, police announced. The deadly incident happened at 8:10 p.m. at the the Walgreens at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Officer D. Orris.
The security officer confronted a suspected shoplifter at the store, and it escalated into a fight, according to the LAPD. The guard allegedly shot the man in the upper body during the scuffle.
