Suspect in Retail Theft Runs from Store after Dropping Baby

A man who was was confronted by store employees for allegedly stealing baby formula tossed a car seat, with an infant still in it before running from the store, police said. Now, police are asking for help in identifying the man and woman involved in the incident.

The theft occurred Tuesday, December 10, when a man and woman entered the Target store at the Springfield (Pennsylvania) Mall. They were seen placing cans of baby formula into a backpack that the man was carrying. The woman was holding another young child, and the man was holding a child’s seat with a baby inside when they attempted to exit the store through the exit on Baltimore Pike.

As they attempted to leave, store employees confronted the man. The man was being taken back to the store’s office when he tossed the baby seat to the ground with the infant still inside. He then fled from the store. Within minutes… Suburban Life
