Suspect Admits ‘I was Stupid’ Arrested for Shoplifting

A woman who admitted “I was stupid” was arrested for the theft of merchandise at a Belk store in The Villages, Florida. Logan Ann McBride, 35, of Mount Dora, entered the store at La Plaza Grande on Friday morning and a loss prevention officer noticed her taking merchandise into a fitting room, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

When she left the dressing room, the loss prevention officer noted McBride did not visibly appear to have the merchandise and it wasn’t left behind in the fitting room. She left the store and was detained by the loss prevention officer until police arrived. When an officer asked McBride what had taken place, she admitted she had stolen the merchandise. “I was stupid. I stole some stuff,” she told the police officer… Villages-News
