Shoplifter Banned: Defendant Faces 5 Shoplifting Charges

A Romeoville man who indicates on court records he is homeless now faces five felony charges after Joliet police arrested him in connection with several retail thefts at the Walgreens store, 1163 West Jefferson St.

Will County prosecutors for Jim Glasgow filed the retail theft charges against Don McCaa. The 57-year-old homeless man was arrested last week by Joliet police on an outstanding felony warrant. McCaa was jailed August 5 and released the next day after posting 10 percent of $1,000 bail.

As a condition of his bail, a Will County judge told McCaa that he cannot frequent any Walgreens stores while his criminal charges are pending at the courthouse…   Joliet Patch
