Pharmacy Employee Charged with Stealing Pills from Patient’s Bottles

An Horry County Walgreens employee is accused of taking prescription drugs from the pharmacy and patient pill bottles, according to a warrant.

Melissa Miranda, 33, was charged with theft of controlled substances by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. She was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Friday and released on $2,500 bond. Theft of controlled substances is punishable by up to five years in prison…  Myrtle Beach Online
