One Half of ORC Duo In Custody

One of two suspects in a series of systematic thefts at Southington home improvement stores is in custody on a $100,000 bond, police said. Police released the details of the case on Thursday. Christopher Main, 39, of Torrington, was arrested on January 3. He is due back in court on January 27 after making one appearance, judicial system records show.

The charges resulted from an ongoing investigation into multiple thefts from Home Depot and Lowes stores in Southington, according to a warrant. Police said the investigation revealed that between April and September of 2019, Main and “accomplices” were involved in “organized thefts” of Milwaukee brand tools from the stores in the amount of $2,945. The tools were then turned over to another person to be sold via an online marketplace… Southington Patch
