The Intelligent Key Cabinet (IKC) from Medeco helps ensure you always know where keys are and helps prevent them from leaving your facility. The IKC is an electronically controlled key management system that securely stores, distributes, and tracks every key.
Knowing who has keys, which keys they have, and when keys are returned gives you a full picture of who has access to what and when. If keys are not returned by a pre-determined time, alerts are sent, which limits exposure to loss or theft. The IKC even comes with a built-in camera for security photo capture.
The IKC also creates a more efficient workplace. Authorized personnel can retrieve and return keys without an administrator via the biometric fingerprint, PIN, and/or prox card. The built-in LCD panel guides users through the key retrieval and return process.
A complete reporting suite with real-time data helps identify problems in key removal and return before they escalate.
Multiple configurations are available for different keys or assets. When combined with the Medeco XT Intelligent Key System of electronic locks, the XT configuration allows you to:
