Others recognize the value of meeting with vendors, discussing products and services, and reviewing how to best use those resources in our companies. Having attended these conferences for many years, speaking at great length with all the attendees, and understanding the dynamics of the conference structure, purpose, and objectives there is absolutely no question that all of the reasons mentioned in our poll are extremely important to the success of the event and the value that conference holds for the attendees. As a loss prevention professional, education holds exceptional value – especially considering the fast-paced evolution of the profession. Having a greater understanding of the advancements in technology and the tools that can help us carry out our responsibilities at maximum capacity is a fundamental and overwhelming need for both our professional development and the success of our program. Taking full advantage of the opportunities to meet with our solution provider partners is an absolute necessity.
