JVCKENWOOD Announces New Digital ProTalk Portable Radios for Retailers at NRF PROTECT 2017

JVCKENWOOD has recently announced the ProTalk NX-240V16P2 and NX-340U16P2, reportedly the first affordable digital portable radios for retailers, shown at NRF PROTECT 2017 in Booth #122. The VHF and UHF digital portables offer extended coverage, so dead zones are minimized and designed with KENWOOD audio for optimum voice quality, especially in high-noise environments. Unlike analog radios, digital radios offer assured privacy, so no one can listen in on your conversations.

NX-240V16P2/NX-340U16P2 radios can be operated in either analog or digital mode, easing the transition to digital with retailers still using legacy analog radios. With sixteen channels and two watts of power, eighteen hours of talk time on a standard charge, 99 pre-programmed frequencies and wireless cloning, these are full-featured digital portables. Built-in AMBE+2 voice codingmeans background noise is blocked, assuringcrisp, clear voice communications.

“We are offering the retail market the first truly affordable, high performance, digital radio. And because these radios can talk to other higher tier digital radios and also can extend their range further with repeaters, their capabilities scale up as your operation grows,” said Randy Fletcher, national sales manager, business radios, JVCKENWOOD USA. “Plus, we back these radios with an industry-leading three-year warranty.”
