iotega Integrates with Alarm.com

Johnson Controls recently announced that the DSC iotega now leverages the interactive and home automation features from Alarm.com.

iotega’s cyber secure platform with PowerG 2-way wireless encrypted sensors, combined with Alarm.com, enables users to seamlessly arm and disarm their system in addition to controlling other home automation functions such as lighting, thermostats, door locks, voice-controlled devices, doorbell cameras and more. With support for Z-Wave Plus features, in addition to Wi-Fi for cameras and touchscreens, iotega offers consumers freedom of choice with a myriad of home control devices.

The set-up is quick, installed and running within a matter of minutes. Pre-enrollment capabilities with PowerG devices ensures the installation set-up is faster and enables installers to easily manage the future needs of their clients. Service providers can leverage the Alarm.com platform to quickly configure and support systems with remote diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities. The recently launched iotega system, from DSC, is reportedly an intuitive, wireless and fully secure system, using encrypted, long-range wireless PowerG sensors, which provides homeowners and small businesses reliable security and home control.

“We’re pleased to announce the integration of DSC’s iotega into the Alarm.com ecosystem,” said Dan Kerzner, Alarm.com’s chief product officer. “It gives our services provider partners an innovative and versatile panel option for delivering Alarm.com’s services.”
