Help Police ID Suspect Accused of Setting Fires to Cover Shoplifting

Travelers Rest Police Department officials said a South Carolina man set two fires at a business early Wednesday morning as a cover for shoplifting.

According to Police Chief Ben Ford, a man went into Walmart, located on 9 Benton Road, at around 4:45 a.m. and set two fires. Ford said the fires were used as a distraction while the man used a cart to steal things. According to Ford, the man set fire to a set of rugs and clothes.
