Grocery Employee, Accomplice Accused of Stealing 100+ Customers’ Personal Information

Investigators in Covington, Georgia, say there could be dozens of victims of a former Kroger employee accused of stealing customer’s information, and they’re asking them to come forward.

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office said their investigation led detectives to photos and videos of over 100 customer’s sensitive information on Desmeiyon Brianna Meadows’ phone. Deputies arrested Meadows on identity fraud and forgery charges stemming from an investigation prompted by a Loss Prevention officer’s call to authorities.

According to investigators, an audit was performed on Meadows’ previous transactions, and that’s where it was discovered that she and an unknown male accomplice had been making fraudulent transactions since April.
