Employee Faces Charges in Theft Case

The manager of a Family Dollar went to open the store December 9, but found all the lights were already on and the front door was unlocked.

Checking the registers, the manager noticed the store’s safe was open, with the nightly deposit bag gone and two register drawers stacked on the floor.

Greenwood County (South Carolina) deputies would later learn more than $2,400 had been stolen from the store overnight, all by someone with access to the store and who was able to disarm the alarm system.
