Employee Charged with $15K Lottery Theft

A former clerk at Madison’s Golden Pantry Convenience store turned herself into Madison Police Department officials Monday after she allegedly stole more than $15,000 from the store while in the store’s employ.

Destiny Wyatt, 21, Madison turned herself in without incident, said, Detective Wes Thompson, Madison Police Department, after Madison authorities secured a felony theft by taking arrest warrant against Wyatt.

The warrant alleges that between February 1 and February 20 Wyatt, while a clerk at the store, produced more than $15,000 in print-out lottery tickets without paying for the items. Thompson said that in the span of 19 days Wyatt allegedly took anywhere from $450 in tickets to $3,750 in tickets on February 17… Morgan Citizen
