Cast Your Vote for 2020 Outstanding Podcast of the Year!

We’ve reviewed the submissions and our committee has narrowed down the choices to these outstanding finalists for Outstanding Podcast of the Year! Podcasts are intended to be informative, insightful, educational, useful, professional, and maybe even a little fun. They should draw attention to a topic in a way that is meaningful and well-communicated, sending an important message while adding value to the audience, the industry, and/or the community in general.

To be eligible for nomination, the Outstanding Podcast of the Year must have taken place during the calendar year of nomination. Podcasts must be nominated by someone other than those that hosted or took part in the presentation and must be submitted by those with first-hand knowledge of the podcast.

AND THE FINALISTS ARE…

FINALIST: 2Cents on 2Things

- Digital Partner -

This is a series where we hear from leaders across the industry who weigh in with their two cents on two specific subjects, chosen from a variety of topics, arranged in three categories: Personal, Professional, and Political. Once the first topic is selected, you hear their “two cents” and discuss, before moving on to the second choice. After that, the interviewee is asked about the charity that means the most to them allowing them to explain the charity’s purpose and cause. A donation of up to $500 is made in their name to that charity and a link to that charity’s website is also be promoted through LPM during the podcast episode promotion, while encouraging donations from listeners. The interview ends with “two quick things” that most people do not know about them. These are two little fun facts to end with and to leave for the listeners as conversation starters for those who may see them at trade shows, or out and about, in the future.

These episodes are relaxed, fun, energetic, and maybe even a little controversial. These episodes have explored everything from vendor relations, to diversity and inclusion, to the power of forgiveness. That episode with Lisa LaBruno was really interesting and powerful. What is also great is how these topics are then also explored with online polling to “ask the industry” for their perspective and blogging to get direct input and feedback from the subscribers, while then also developing follow up articles with leading experts, specific to each topic at hand. This is a very different idea for a podcast and is a great series.
