Check out this starting line-up:

Sgt. Ryan Delaney – Chicago PD Organized Retail Crime Task Force
Adam Berg – Criminal Intelligence Research Specialist, New England State Police Information Network (NESPIN)
SSA Douglas McKelway, FBI – Criminal Investigative Division, Major Theft Program Manager
Jamie Fallowfield, FBI – Management and Program Analyst
Scott Pethuyne – Senior Analytics Solution consultant for Zebra Technologies

In addition to our ORCA spotlight update from NMORCA, and a great debrief of ORC efforts led by the FBI, we have not one but two play-of-the-day presentations:

“Building and Cultivating a L.E. Organized Retail Crime Unit” presented by Sgt. Ryan Delaney of the Chicago Police Department ORC Task Force. Task Force Sergeant Ryan Delaney will share several investigative successes by the task force—and discuss creating an ORC investigative unit in a large department—with topics including recruitment measures, team building, and cultivating relationships with retail establishments and investigators.

“Points of Prosecution – Local, State, and Federal Partnerships to Fight ORC” presented by Adam Berg, Criminal Intelligence Research Specialist for ORC – NESPIN. From city ordinance violations to federal prosecutions and asset forfeitures, ORC success is driven by private and public partnerships at the local, state, and federal levels, sometimes looking at things a little differently to get the main goal of shutting down these criminal networks. Join Adam as we look at why the federal government should support this case with its resources, and how the collaboration has developed some great cases to share.
