The Loss Prevention Foundation Board of Directors announced that, with the retirement of Frank Johns, LPC, new industry leaders have been appointed to fill the vacancies on the board and Executive Committee.
Mark Stinde, LPC will succeed Frank Johns, LPC as the chairman of the board. Stinde has worked in the retail loss prevention industry for over 30 years. He joined the LPF board of directors in 2013 and previously held the role of treasurer.
“Mark has been an active member of the LPF board for many years,” said Terry Sullivan, LPC, president of the LPF. “With his years of significant contributions to the industry I know that our board will be in good hands with him as the chairman.”
Scott Glenn, LPC, joined the LPF board in 2014 and will be taking over the role of treasurer now. Joining the LPF Executive Committee is Paul Jaeckle, LPC who began serving on the LPF board in 2017. Other members of the Executive Committee include Scott Glenn, LPC, Paul Jones, LPC, Mike Lamb, LPC, Jim Lee, LPC, Kevin McMenimen, LPC, and Mark Stinde, LPC. Paul Jones, LPC will remain as the vice chairman of the board.
Frank Johns, LPC, who has retired and is stepping down as the chairman of the LPF board of directors, has served the retail loss prevention industry for over 35 years in roles spanning from store manager at Montgomery Ward to senior vice president of stores, loss prevention, audit, ethics, and compliance at A.C. Moore. He also worked with Office Depot and Mervyn’s and started his own consulting firm, Frank John’s LP Consulting, in 2010. The LPF Executive Committee met in August and unanimously agreed to assign Johns the title of LPF board member emeritus.
“Frank has been instrumental in the growth of the LPF over the years,” Sullivan said. “When I came on as president in 2017, Frank welcomed me graciously and has been a friend and mentor ever since. We will miss having Frank on the LPF board, but this retirement is well-deserved!”
