250 Needles Found on Man Suspected of Shoplifting

Police say they found over 250 unused hypodermic needles Monday on a man suspected of shoplifting from Kohl’s near Springfield Drive in Chico (California).

Duke Russell Clayton, 30, of Chico was arrested Monday on suspicion of possession of narcotics and theft as well as a misdemeanor warrant. He was booked into the Butte County Jail with bail set at $7,500.

Officers with the Chico Police Department responded to a call at Kohl’s regarding a shoplifting incident at round 2:37 PM Monday, said a press release issued Tuesday by the department. The suspect was seen by an employee riding on a bike toward Humboldt Road on the bike path that runs near Teichert Ponds.
