Stefanie Hoover, CFI, is vice president and editor-in-chief at Loss Prevention Magazine. She has over 20 years of experience in retail loss prevention and worked as a solution provider serving loss prevention professionals in retail. Currently, she serves on the Loss Prevention Research Council Board of Advisors and IAI Midwest Chapter Board. Stefanie is a Legacy Certified Forensic Interviewer and received her Bachelor of Science in the Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Chris Soriano
Chris Soriano is a highly accomplished senior retail executive at Motorola Solutions, bringing over 30 years of expertise in loss prevention, security, and store operations within large retail organizations, including Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and Modell’s Sporting Goods. As a subject matter expert in LP and security operations, Chris specializes in technology and security systems, ensuring robust protection and operational efficiency. Throughout his distinguished career, Chris has demonstrated a proven track record in developing and leading large, high-performing teams to achieve organizational goals. His extensive experience includes conducting and leading internal and external fraud and criminal investigations, showcasing his commitment to maintaining integrity and security within the retail sector. Chris’ leadership and strategic vision have consistently driven success, making him a respected and influential figure in the industry.
Patrick McEvoy
Patrick McEvoy is an access control specialist with Motorola Solutions. Prior to joining Motorola, he spent 20 years in retail asset protection at prominent retailers, including Target, JC Penney’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Saks OFF 5TH. Patrick began his asset protection career as a door guard and progressively held nearly every role within the field, ultimately rising to the position of vice president. Considered a subject matter expert in physical security and shortage reduction strategy, Patrick holds an MBA in Information Systems from Pace University and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University.
