An underwear and clothing bandit was arrested last Sunday at an Ocala, Florida, Walmart for a theft that took place while a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy was in the store.
The loss prevention officer at the store, alerted the deputy, who then made contact with 33-year-old Candice Meshelle Machey, of Ocala. She had been observed on surveillance video with a cart full of items at a self-checkout station and allegedly had attempted to take items that she hadn’t paid for, a sheriff’s office report states.
The video showed Machey at the checkout station ringing up women’s clothing. She is seen grabbing multiple T-shirts and only ringing up one of them before putting them all in a bag. And she did that multiple times with clothing and women’s underwear, the report says, adding that the merchandise was worth $113.67… Ocala-News.com
