Thief Punches Grocery Employee Before Fleeing

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said a man stole about $1,500 worth of merchandise from a Kroger store in Anderson Township on Monday and punched an employee who confronted him about the theft.

Dylen Gentry, 28, of Westwood is in the Hamilton County Justice Center on charges of felony robbery and misdemeanor assault.

Gentry struck the employee of the Kroger store at 7580 Beechmont Ave. in the face with a closed fist, dropped the stolen merchandise and hopped into a silver 2012 Ford Focus, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The release said deputies arriving at the scene stopped the car as it was pulling away and arrested Gentry. No injuries were reported to the Kroger employee, the release said… Cincinnati.com
