Amazon Employees Accused of Organized Theft of Over $150K in iPhones
Fort Wayne police are investigating allegations that e-commerce employees stole phones and resold them for cash. The investigation began when ecoATM reached out to Fort Wayne police about “a large amount of suspicious transactions involving iPhone 15s.”

Looters Stole $67K in Merch During Flash Mob Burglary at LA AutoZone
A 24-year-old man who took part in a flash mob burglary of an AutoZone store in South LA following a street takeover in June pleaded no contest Tuesday to second-degree burglary and felony evading police and received two years of probation.

Customer Fires at Shoplifter’s Car in North Carolina
Police in Morganton, North Carolina say a customer tried to stop a shoplifter by firing at the suspect’s car on Tuesday. It happened outside of a Lowe’s store, and it’s not clear whether the suspected shoplifter was hit by a bullet.

Federal Officials Charge 2 Men in Connection with $12.3M ORC Ring
The US Attorney’s Office announced that two men, accused of playing leading roles in an organized theft ring, were arrested and charged on Monday. This follows the seizure of approximately 60,000 stolen items valued at around $1.6 million.
