Bronx Councilmember Oswald Feliz introduced a bill Wednesday aimed at helping store owners cover security costs from thieves. The Small Business Protection Act is aimed at improving safety measures for mom-and-pop shops by making sure they can afford security cameras, alarms, and plexiglass at their registers.

Authorities Crackdown on Retail Theft Ring Targeting Home Depot and Target
Authorities in Northeast Florida and Georgia are ramping up efforts to dismantle a sophisticated retail theft ring that has been systematically targeting Home Depot and Target stores. This operation, uncovered in 2022 through intercepted jail phone calls, has led to the arrest of several individuals, with the investigation still ongoing.
