Over $26,000 was raised for the Loss Prevention Benevolent Fund and the Bob MacLea Scholarship at yesterday’s Swing for Certification event hosted by the Loss Prevention Foundation at the Bear Creek Golf Course in Dallas, Texas.
The annual fundraiser welcomed over 140 golfers for a day of fun, friendly competition, and industry camaraderie—all for a great cause. While the Texas heat made its presence known, attendees agreed it was a welcome change from last year’s cold weather.
Golfers took part in a variety of on-course contests including the popular Beat the Pro challenge, a golf ball cannon, and the crowd-favorite Dart Board Challenge, where a handful of lucky players hit the bullseye and took home bragging rights.
Following the round, attendees gathered for a lively reception filled with great food, cold beverages, and shared stories from the day on the course. Winners were recognized for their skills—and some luck—and exciting raffle prizes rounded out the evening.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all the sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made this year’s Swing for Certification event possible.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Loss Prevention Benevolent Fund and the Bob MacLea Scholarship. The Benevolent Fund provides financial assistance to the families of asset protection professionals who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty. The Bob MacLea Scholarship provides LPC and LPQ certifications in remembrance and honor of Bob MacLea for his accomplishments and contributions to the loss prevention industry.
Together, we’re making a difference—one swing at a time.
