The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Retail Asset Protection Conference 2018 has kicked off in Orlando, FL, for another exciting event connecting AP professionals. With its tagline theme of “Growth. Relevance. Influence.”, the event aims to encourage collaboration among retail leaders to identify and solve the loss prevention community’s biggest challenges.
Meetings on Sunday, April 29 marked the beginning of the event, with RILA members participating in pre-conference gatherings for the Asset Protection Leaders Council and Workplace Safety Committee. On Sunday evening, an outdoor welcome reception invited attendees to network and get acquainted (or reacquainted) with other AP pros.
The opening keynote today, April 30, will feature Rankin Gasaway, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for 7-Eleven, who will speak about “Accepting Chaos, Returning Order: Leadership in Action.” The agenda that follows promises to be a busy and inspiring one, featuring 35+ interactive sessions and seven breakout tracks so that attendees may participate in the particular sessions most relevant to them.
Last year’s successful event in New Orleans saw over 1,000 executives and leaders from the retail loss prevention industry. Now, the 2018 event is shaping up to be a great experience for all. Look for LPM’s exclusive Day One recap coverage in tomorrow’s Insider.
