3VR recently announced that Andrew Chapman has joined the company as senior vice president of sales. Previously, Chapman served as vice president of OEM Initiatives at Pivot3, where he was responsible for market strategy and partnerships with leading security video management software (VMS) providers. Chapman brings over forty years of experience in the security industry to his new role at 3VR.
“In today’s hyper-competitive environment, businesses need to find a way to analyze the growing volume of video data obtained by security systems to create actionable intelligence that can improve the bottom line,” said Chapman. “3VR’s VisionPoint™ VMS is the only VMS solution that allows customers to analyze video content in real-time from a single platform to rapidly investigate theft and understand customer behavior. I’m excited to be joining a company with such an innovative approach to this market.”
“Andrew is a proven leader who has experience in a variety of roles across the security industry, including practitioner, integrator and manufacturer,” said Al Shipp, CEO of 3VR. “His perspective and insights will be vital to supporting our system integrator partners, bringing our industry-leading video search and analytics solutions to new customers, and empowering our sales team to drive results. I am thrilled to have him on board.”
While leading OEM activities for Pivot3, Chapman was also responsible for the Dell corporation international EMEA relationship and served on the Global IoT board with technology leaders including Dell, Intel and VMware. Before that, Chapman held a variety of senior sales roles at Panasonic, Best Security, Pelco and ADT/Tyco. Chapman also spent many years in loss prevention management at Carter Hawley Hale (Broadway stores), the largest department store chain on the west coast. He has a bachelor of science degree in sociology and criminal justice from Dana College.
Congratulations!
