Join the International Association of Interviewers (IAI) on April 26th from 1-3 p.m. CT for their Midwest Chapter Meeting and learn from guest speakers Deanna Lawton and Dr. Olivia Johnson.
Deanna will be discussing a recent interview she completed with an employee that took her back in time to when she was told an employee she interviewed committed suicide. She will touch on what she learned, what she does differently, and how mental health awareness is always front of mind when doing interviews.
Dr. Olivia Johnson’s data has provided a roadmap to what she coined “The FATAL 10.” These are ten risk factors noted in cases of suicide of law enforcement officers, but it has been tailored to numerous occupations. The FATAL 10 is a risk assessment tool that can be used by forensic interviewers to assess the risk of suicidal ideation and overall suicide risk to interviewees.
