Professionals from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will be making a special presentation at the upcoming 2016 Firearms Retail Security Conference, organized by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Scheduled as the closing presentation during the first day of the conference, this special seminar will discuss current crime trends and provide solutions today’s firearms retailers can replicate to deter criminal activity in their businesses. A question and answer session will immediately follow the ATF presentation.
“We’re very pleased that ATF has agreed to speak on this particular topic,” said Patrick Shay, NSSF director, retail development. “As security technology increases, so does the number of ways criminals find to defeat those measures. It’s crucial that today’s firearms retailers understand how, when, where and what types of crimes are being perpetrated today and the measures they can put in place to ensure their employees, customers, inventory, data and other sensitive items stay safe.”
The 2016 Firearms Industry Retailer Security Conference will be held August 15-17 at the Omni Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. Both NSSF Members and non-members may register to attend, and NSSF Members receive a substantial discount on their registration fee. For more information, check out the Events page.
