Nashville, TN, has long been known as a city of opportunity for countless singers and songwriters looking to make their mark on the music landscape. Last week, loss prevention leadership played their own tunes in Music City, USA, as LP Magazine, RILA’s Asset Protection Leadership Council, and the Loss Prevention Foundation took the stage for their annual meetings.
While the loss-prevention-themed songs that had been penned by meeting attendees and Marc-Alan Barnette’s tuneful delivery of the collaborations left some entertaining memories, the lyrics etched by the loss prevention leadership trifecta that attended the 2017 event will be those we remember most. This year’s meetings featured honored guests, magazine mainstays, seasoned professionals, and the premier loss prevention solution providers that have worked together to bring you the news, innovations, and information that that continue to drive retail loss prevention.
Friday morning, the Loss Prevention Foundation took the microphone to share the latest developments and newest offerings from the industry’s premier resource for education and career development. The meeting was led by new LPF President Terry Sullivan, orchestrating a series of presentations by loss prevention leadership on the status of the LPF, the latest offerings that are available to the industry, the latest industry trends, and a discussion on the direction of the Loss Prevention Foundation moving forward.
It was announced that the latest updates and revisions to both the LPCertified and LPQualified courses have been completed and will be implemented into the coursework. LPF certificate courses including “Addressing Disruptive Behaviors” and “Organized Retail Crime” training programs are progressing towards release, and additional course opportunities were addressed for upcoming considerations. Other new and exciting announcements and LPF offerings will follow in the coming months as the meeting set the tone for what will clearly be another stellar year for the Loss Prevention Foundation.
Whether looking back over the accomplishments of the past year or looking forward with the energy and enthusiasm expressed over the many opportunities that are soon to follow, there is much to look forward to as we move into the new year.
As we look ahead, we look forward to your thoughts, ideas, and opinions to help us continue to bring you the very best news and information pertaining to the retail loss prevention industry. From everyone at LP Magazine, please accept our sincere gratitude for your interest and participation in making LP Magazine the first-in-class choice as the voice of the loss prevention community.
