Gisel Ruiz, chief operating officer for Walmart U.S., has announced the promotion of Mike Lamb to vice president of asset protection and safety – Walmart U.S. In this role, Mike will lead more than 10,000 asset protection and safety associates who support the Walmart U.S. business across the nation. In his former role as Senior Director, Asset protection, Mike led significant transformational change and brought an additional depth of expertise and industry experience to the asset protection organization.
Mike has over 30 years of retail loss prevention, safety and compliance experience. Before joining Walmart in January 2013, he served as vice president of asset protection, safety and regulatory compliance for the Home Depot. Mike also worked for Federated Department Stores prior to The Home Depot, leading all loss prevention efforts across the Rich’s/Lazarus/Goldsmith’s family of stores.
Currently, Mike serves on the Board of Directors for The Loss Prevention Foundation, is a member of Retail Industry Leaders Association’s (RILA) Asset Protection Leadership Council, and serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Loss Prevention Research Council.
