Integral Security Solutions recently demonstrated their latest system, the Vertical Autogate, at the RILA Asset Protection Conference. The Vertical Autogate provides an automatic welcoming experience at entrances while preventing thieves from walking back out the front door with a locking arm and vocal alerts. Entrances are an area of high theft in mass merchants and grocery chains and are a hot topic within the loss prevention community.
“When you look at store environments, entrances are the most understaffed area, and it is easy for thieves to run in and out of the entrances to steal. The solutions are customized, as each store is unique, and we make recommendations based on the customer flow and store layouts needs,” said Nathaniel Haeems, president of Integral Security Solutions.
The designer team evaluates each store’s needs and creates unique solutions for store entrances as well as for cash lanes. These physical deterrence solutions meet ADA (American Disabilities Act), building and fire codes.
Integral’s Cash Lane Solutions, which were also displayed at their booth, prevent thieves from exiting unattended cash registers. A vocal signal alerts staff and directs individuals trying to exit unattended cash lanes. While the cash is in use, a camera connects to a wireless screen to allow cashiers to see items hidden at the bottom of shopping carts. The Cash Lanes open and close easily with the lift of a hand.
