Gary Johnson has been named director of loss prevention with Guitar Center in Westlake Village, CA. Johnson has over 30 years of experience and has held senior leadership positions with such national retailers as The Vitamin Shoppe, Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, and Barnes & Noble, Inc. He most recently served as president & senior advisor with the Security Advisory Group, LLC.
Johnson has also been active nationally where he served as the chairman of National Retail Federation’s LP Advisory Council and was also an engaged council member contributing to the Conference Planning, Awards & Recognition, and Executive Committees. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement Administration. A member of ASIS, Johnson holds professional certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Alto-US.
