Employee Hit, Dragged by Car after Trying to Stop Shoplifting Suspects

Police in Wareham, Massachusetts, are investigating after three shoplifting suspects hit a man with their car after he tried to stop them Thursday evening.
Authorities say three shoplifting suspects hit then dragged a 76-year-old Walmart employee several feet with their car as they were escaping around 6 p.m. As the victim fell to the ground, he ripped the windshield wiper off the car that didn’t have a license plate.

“Identifying and arresting these subjects is a top priority because in addition to stealing from a business in Wareham, they injured, and very easily could have killed someone with their desperate and reckless actions to flee the area,” said Wareham Chief of Police John Walcek.
The male victim was transported to Tobey Hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries. Anyone who has information on the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts are asked to contact Wareham Police at 508-295.1212.   [Source: TurnToTen News]
