The Boyd County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday uncovered a six-person theft ring that was fraudulently returning broken televisions to area Walmart stores in exchange for cash.
According to a report by Sgt. J. Delaney, deputies responded to the Cannonsburg, Kentucky, Walmart on Thursday for a report of fraudulent returns of televisions to the store.
Officers realized that six people had been working together to make multiple fraudulent returns of televisions at the Walmart stores in South Point, Ohio; Ashland and Cannonsburg, Kentucky… The Herald-Dispatch
