In Florida, a Fort Pierce Central High School criminal justice teacher has been accused of stealing more than $3,000 from her students and $512 from the school.
Sharonda Johnson, 47, of Port St. Lucie, was arrested on nine grand theft charges, two petty theft charges and two charges of tampering with a witness.
In March, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they went to the high school after a school resource deputy and bookkeeper called them accusing Johnson of stealing money during two school fundraisers.
