Peter Morello, president of CIS Security Solutions, has been awarded the title of Entrepreneur of the Year by the Business Development Board of Martin County, Florida.
Since founding CIS—originally known as Computer Imaging Services—in 1989, Peter has been a trailblazer in the security industry, inventing and patenting the multi-color ribbon with security ink, an innovation that remains pivotal to this day.
After selling that portion of CIS to another company, in 2012 he launched a new iteration of CIS, providing counterfeit bill detectors and alarming recoiling tethers. Fast forward through a whirlwind of creativity and determination, and Peter now holds twelve patents, including for the Gen5 alarming recoiling tether.
Thanks to Peter’s relentless pursuit of innovative solutions, CIS has transformed into a multi-million dollar powerhouse, earning its place as a respected leader in loss prevention.
