Cheryl Blake has been promoted to division president at Verisk Retail. She was most recently the vice president of business development for the solution provider. Blake had a diverse career in loss prevention prior to becoming a solution provider, climbing the career ladder through positions such as a security manager with Lord & Taylor and as a regional loss prevention supervisor with Toys R Us before holding leadership roles with Kids R Us as director of loss prevention, manager of loss prevention operations with Caldor, director of loss prevention with Funcoland, and director of loss prevention with Gamestop before moving over to the vendor side as vice president of loss prevention services with Aspect. After the company was acquired by Verisk Retail in 2012, she was promoted to vice president of business development prior to her most recent promotion.
Blake has been very active throughout the loss prevention community and a respected leader in the industry. She has also previously served as an active member of the Retail Industry Leader’s Association (RILA) Steering Committee, and was recognized as the first to offer a presentation on telephone interviewing at a retail conference. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University.
