Stephanie Lin is a research scientist with the Loss Prevention Research Council. She has been with the organization for over three years. Lin's background is in experimental design, survey methodology, and statistical modeling. At the LPRC, she facilitates the retail fraud, violent crime, and data analytics working groups and has conducted dozens of research projects where she interviewed hundreds of customers, offenders, and associates to help LP professionals evaluate the effectiveness of AP technologies and enhance deployment strategies.
LPRC researchers discovered an organized retail crime (ORC) ring based out of Chicago and were able to investigate this group closely to learn more about their return methods and routines.
