Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, Inc. (WZ) recently announced the company had been awarded a three-year contract by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to provide sixty (60) training seminars annually. The two-day custom course is designed to provide comprehensive training in multiple interviewing techniques with a focus on obtaining truthful information.
WZ’s Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI©) instructors will conduct the comprehensive training at USCIS offices in the United States and territories. The proven interviewing methods have been delivered to more than 200,000 investigators since the founding of WZ in 1982.
“WZ is honored to be of service to USCIS by teaching proven interviewing approaches that are specific to the types of conversations with applicants by USCIS Immigration Services Officers, Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) Officers, and their supervisors” said WZ President and CEO Shane Sturman, CFI. “The value to USCIS is the delivery of “best practice” investigative interview techniques by CFI® credentialed instructors to ensure continuity and consistency at each USCIS office.”
The interview training will focus on the importance of developing rapport, showing understanding of the applicant and a professional, respectful approach to the interviewing process.
