Cigar Rolling, Tarot Cards, and Jazz, Oh My! The LPM, LPF, and RILA APLC Fall Meeting Kicks Off in the Big Easy

Retail leaders came together for the start of the annual LPM, Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF), and Retail Industry Leaders Association’s Asset Protection Leaders Council (APLC) meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel New Orleans yesterday, Oct. 28.

The festivities began with a meeting exclusively for RILA APLC members and sponsors before the opening reception where retailers, vendors, and LPF/LPM staff were able to mix and mingle while getting a taste of the best that the Big Easy has to offer. Beads were flying as hors d’oeuvres and drinks were shared and a live jazz band played. There was also a tarot card reader offering fortunes, and attendees were taught how to roll their own cigars to be enjoyed on the balcony of Bourbon Vieux overlooking Bourbon Street on day two of the event.

This invite-only meeting continues today with a full schedule of speakers, board meetings, and more New Orleans cuisine (including beignets!), and the festivities will conclude on Wednesday after noon. Stay tuned to the LPM site and our social media accounts for live coverage of the event!
