The National Retail Federation (NRF) said it will not be publishing its annual report on retail shrink this year, saying the nature of retail loss has evolved over the last several years, and “a broad study about retail shrink is no longer sufficient.”

Flash Mob Suspects Charged in Robbery of Topanga Mall
Three people were charged for allegedly robbing the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center in LA as part of a flash mob that made off with more than $90,000 in merchandise. All three were charged with three counts of robbery, two counts of burglary, and one count of retail theft.

Nordstrom CEO Says Seattle Area Has the Most Retail Theft
During a summit on retail crime, Nordstrom CEO Erik Nordstrom claimed the stores located in King County are responsible for approximately 10 percent of its companywide losses due to theft, despite being just 3 percent of its global footprint.
