DC Store Owners Criticize Theft Amendment in Recently Passed Crime Bill
An amendment to the Secure DC crime bill is facing criticism from some store owners in the city, saying it doesn’t do enough to address theft. The amendment, approved along with the bill on Tuesday night, keeps the felony theft threshold at $1,000 instead of $500 as the council approved in its initial vote last month.

12 Arrested, 19 Wanted in Theft Operation at North Carolina Dollar General Stores
