The main solution to date has been physical call buttons that send a page over the PA or to an associate’s radio. This is laden with challenges—not only are the buttons expensive and fragile, but there is also no accountability or escalations built in and customers have no idea if some is actually coming to help.
Enter digital call buttons. Rather than hit a physical button, customers can scan a QR code and send context-specific help requests like, “I need help unlocking a showcase” or “I need assistance in the fitting room”. The help request is then delivered to the right associate for the job and updates the customer on their phone that someone is assigned to help.
