SB 301, California’s version of the federal INFORM Consumers Act, has passed unanimously out of the Assembly. The Senate will vote to concur the amendments this week, and then the bill will head to Governor Gavin Newsom’s desk for his signature or veto.
The California Retailers Association (CRA), who was instrumental in the passing of the legislation, said this is a big win in providing retailers with another tool in the toolbox when it comes to combatting ORC.
