Repeat Shoplifter Brandishes Knife at Police

A city woman charged in December with threatening a Kwik Fill employee with a knife was arrested last week for threatening a police officer with a knife. That incident also happened at Kwik Fill on Jackson Street and came just a week after the woman was charged with shoplifting.

Alicia M. Lyons, 41, of Washington Avenue was allegedly shoplifting at Kwik Fill on Feb. 5. Police were called and Lyons allegedly brandished a knife at officers before she was taken into custody.

Lyons was charged with menacing a police officer, petit larceny and criminal possession of a weapon. The incident happened a week after Lyons was charged with petit larceny for stealing from Kwik Fill.
