Shoplifter Accused of Hitting LP Associate with Car

A Woodland man is facing assault charges after allegedly striking a store loss prevention associate with his vehicle, police said.

Lonni Goff, 49, was arrested shortly after 3 PM Saturday after he reportedly stole property from a store at the Harvest Square Shopping Center in the 1800 block of East Main Street, Woodland police Sgt. Victoria Danzl said. He then fled from the business to his car and began to drive away.

The loss prevention associate tried to get to the vehicle and stop it and was struck by the vehicle, causing minor injuries,” Danzl said in a post on the Woodland Police Department’s Facebook page.
