West Manchester Township Police are hoping to identify a woman suspected of stealing dresses and shoes from Kohl’s earlier this month, according to a news release. On Monday, police released surveillance images of a woman who was wearing a gray tank top with an American flag on its front. They asked the public for help in identifying the woman. According to police, they responded on June 8 to the Kohl’s, 200 Town Center Drive, for a retail theft. Once there, they spoke with the store’s loss prevention officer, who said he spotted the woman about 5:30 p.m. and began to watch her on the surveillance cameras. He watched the woman select items, including dresses, in the women’s clothing department. She then walked into a fitting room with the dresses and stayed inside for about seven minutes before meeting another woman in a red shirt.
The woman in the tank top then used a yellow pair of tin snips to cut the security tags off several pairs of shoes and then put them into a bag brought into the store by the woman in red, police said. The two women left the store separately after 6 p.m.
“The loss prevention officer stated that he attempted to stop both females outside of the store,” police said. “The female with the grey shirt stated that she did not have anything and left the area. The female with the red shirt did not stop and entered a red 2004 Ford Focus.” Anyone who is able to identify the suspect is encouraged to contact the West Manchester Township Police Department at 717.792.9514 or 911.
